Bernard E. Bergquist

Bernard E. Bergquist, 99 of West Deer Township, formerly of Chicago, Ill, passed peacefully January 11, 2018 at Health South, Harmarville Rehabilitation, Harmar Township. He was born January 18, 1918 in Chicago to the late Carl and Nora (Burns) Bergquist. He grew up and had lived in Chicago area until 2015 when he moved to West Deer with his son. Mr. Bergquist worked for many years as a salesman for the Fasano Pie Company. He also was a permanent Deacon of the Roman Catholic Church. Since the age of 17 Bernie was an avid HO Model Railroad enthusiast, though his utmost joy was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his two children Tom and his wife Deb and Pam, his grandchildren Zach and his wife Jen, Laura, Nick and his wife Lisa, Eric and his wife Sarah, and Kristen and her husband Jesse and his great-grandchildren Cheyenne, Cynthia, Cole, Laura, Milena, Andrew, Katie, Caden and Kyler.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor.
