Elsie K. Shelestak

Elsie K. (Hamilton) Shelestak, 87 of Bairdford, West Deer Township, died Monday March 12, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born July 13, 1930 in Dorseyville, Indiana Township, to the late John T. and Marie E. (Myers) Hamilton. She graduated from Etna High School in 1936. A homemaker, she was a member of the Bairdford United Methodist Church, Bairdford, where she was very active. She enjoyed traveling and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children James S. (Theresa) Shelestak of Kennerdale, John A. Shelestak at home, Terry L. (Shirley) Shelestak of Clinton Township, Kathleen S. (Wilbert) Mueller of Bairdford and Pauline M. Shelestak at home, 7 granddaughters, 4 great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Steve A. Shelestak August 2, 2003 and her sister Norma Jean Glatz.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be held Thursday 10 AM, with the Rev. Joseph P. Martin, Jr., officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
