Felix A. “Phil” Dialoiso, 77 of West Deer Township, died peacefully at his residence on Saturday September 30, 2017. He was born April 1, 1940 in Pittsburgh to the late Perino “Perry” and Mary Rose (Tommerello) Dialoiso. Phil grew up on Larimer Avenue in East Liberty then he and his family moved to the Verona and Penn Hills area. He also lived in Harwick for a few years and in 1977 moved to West Deer where he and his wife have made their home. While he lived in Verona, he served as an auxiliary Policeman for the Verona Police Department. He was a union electrician and Phil worked over 20 years for the IBEW Local 5 in Pittsburgh. A member of East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer, the Allegheny County Sherriff Reserve Unit, the former West Deer Lions Club and an active member of the Rosedale Sportsmen Club, where he served as a Board of Director for many years. Phil also served on the Deer Creek Drainage Basin Authority Board, and then served on the West Deer Zoning Board where he was a longtime Chairman of the Board. He also served as Democratic Committeeman for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved helping others with all types of projects, spending time with his German Sheppard Gio and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Patricia A. (Cole) Dialoiso, sons Felix A. Dialoiso, Jr. of Lewes, DE and Michael V. (Suzanne) Dialoiso of Fawn, grandchildren Joseph, Christopher, Cory, Kristine (Gary), Kayla, Kali, Richard, Christina, Michael (Kristen) and Michelle (Daniel), fourteen great-grandchildren, his brother Anthony “Bub” Dialoiso of Penn Hills and his sister Rose Mary O’Connor of Oakmont.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Creek and his grandson Jonathan Eiler.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. Family asks all to meet for the funeral service, Thursday 10 AM at East Union Presbyterian Church, 292 East Union Road, West Deer, with the Rev. James C. Ramsey, officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in his name to Rosedale Sportsman Association, PO Box 172, Cheswick, PA 15024.
