George Gedraitis, 64 of East Deer Township, formerly of Russellton, West Deer died Monday March 19, 2018 at Harmar Village Care Center with his family by his side. He was born July 1, 1953 in Osaka, Japan to the late Joseph F. and Teiko (Yamada) Gedraitis. George grew up in Russellton and was a 1972 graduate of Deer Lakes High School. George served his country during the Vietnam Era in the Air force and served in Okinawa, Japan. He has worked as a graphic artist for Forms and Surfaces for over 21 years. George was a member of the Slovak Club, East Deer. He enjoyed Karate, riding motorcycles, sports, current events and history.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years Elizabeth J. (Nettles) Gedraitis, his son George F. Gedraitis at home, his step-daughter Richelle McConville of Tarentum, 3 grandchildren, siblings Susan M. Francis of Harwick, Gina A. (Paul) McLaughlin of Frazer, Joseph A. Gedraitis and Edward A. (Leeann) Gedraitis both of Springdale Township, and 7 nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a blessing service will be conducted Thursday 10 AM with the Rev.
