We send our deepest sympathy to Jim's family and friends. Jim joined our fire company February 7, 1984 at the age of 60. Jim maintained his active status for over 30 years helping in any way that he could. Jim served as Fire Police Captain for many years and received Firefighter of the Year award numerous times. Jim was always reliable for trainings, work details, fundraisers and emergencies no matter day or night. Jim's hard work and dedication served as a positive influence for others. Even at the age of 80, Jim would run circles around the younger guys. We will truly miss Jim's joyful spirit and contagious laugh. Thank you Jim for your many years of dedicated service to the fire company and the community of West Deer!
