Jean M. Baumgartel

Jean M. (McClelland) Baumgartel, 92 of Cabot, formerly of Dorseyville, died Wednesday October 4, 2017. She was born February 10, 1925 in Dorseyville to the late James and Agnes (Hofelder) McClelland. Jean grew up and lived in Dorseyville until she moved to Cabot four years ago. She was a 1943 graduate of Etna High School and a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Dorseyville. Jean was the Co-Owner of Ralph Baumgartel Auctioneers, and worked the company with her husband for over forty years. She worked for the YMCA After School Program in the Fox Chapel School District for over five years. She enjoyed antiques, buying and selling at various flea markets and bingo.

Survivors include her children Linda J. (William) Henry of Greenville, Diana (George) Berendowski of Bradford Woods and Robert Q. (Diane) Baumgartel of West Deer, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her brother Pat (Carol) McClelland of Indiana Township.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph M. Baumgartel, her sister Betty McAdams and her brothers Herk, Jim and Ken McClelland.

Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. where services will be conducted Saturday 10 AM with the Rev. David Mears, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Dorseyville Cemetery, Dorseyville. Memorial contributions can be sent to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Rd.
