Joseph John "Nanny" Large

Joseph John “Nanny” Large, 54 of Goose Creek, SC, formerly of West Deer Township, died Wednesday September 20, 2017. He was born March 6, 1963 in New Kensington to the late Elmer Large and Josephine A. (Nicolazzo) Vogel. Nanny grew up in West Deer. While he lived here he worked as a roofer and installed swimming pools and spas. After he moved to South Carolina, he was a self-employed truck driver. He served his country in the US Army during Peace time. He enjoyed cars, hunting, fishing, golf, riding his motor cycle and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years Dianne Bungert - Large, his children Joseph J. (Christine) Large, Jr. of Russellton, Dennis J. (Shannon) Large and Tara J. Large both of Goose Creek, SC, his grandchildren Gavin and Aaliyah, his siblings Elmer J. (Rita) Large of Warrior, AL, Lillian Kubisa of West Deer, Ida J. (James) Shoop of Bairdford and Rose M. Morris of Lower Burrell.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Dennis C. and David J. Large.

Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where funeral services will be conducted Friday 10 AM with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his Mom in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
