Larry A. Pollick

Larry Pollick, 70, of West Deer Township, died peacefully Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by his family. Larry was born in November 1946 to his wonderful parents, the late Andrew and Elizabeth Pollick. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in marketing, he worked at Filmet Color Laboratories for over 42 years. Larry was a fantastic family man and a very loving father. He was a very social, active man who was deeply involved in his Catholic faith, as a longtime member of St. Maria Goretti Parish, Garfield Campus, singing in the Sweet Rejoicing Folk Group with his wife for over 42 years. He enjoyed life, using his time to golf, fish, travel, create water colors and brag about his sons, who brought him nothing but pride and love.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Mary; and his two loving sons, Andrew, and wife, Francesca, and Daniel, and his partner, Rebekah. He also is very close to his brother, Raymond, and wife, Claudia; sister, Jacqueline Pollick; and his cousin, Charles Stahara, and wife Debbie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. The family asks all to meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday for his funeral Mass to celebrate his life in St. Maria Goretti Parish, in the Friendship Avenue Campus at 300 Edmond St., Pittsburgh, PA 15224. Burial will follow his Mass. In lieu of flowers, please send donations for St. Maria Goretti Parish, the church food bank, or the church youth group.
