Margaret A. "Peg" McAlpine

Margaret A. "Peg" McAlpine, 91, of Dorseyville, Indiana Township, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 16, 2017. She was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Jeanette to the late James Sr. and Anna (Miller) McAlpine. She lived in Indiana Township for more than 68 years. Peg was a 1943 graduate of Etna High School and attended Duquesne College, receiving a degree from the secretarial school. Peg began working at U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh and moved up to one of the senior secretaries, working there for more than 40 years. Peg enjoyed many types of crafts.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Ann (Stanga) McAlpine; her nephew, Larry, of Ohio; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James M. McAlpine Jr.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at 1 p.m. in SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, with the Rev. W. James Legge, D.Min., officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her parents and near her brother in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
