Michael John Husarik, Jr.June 16, 1950 ~ January 16, 2018 (age 67)
Michael John Husarik, Jr. 67 of Buffalo Township formerly of Russellton, West Deer Township, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at home. He was born June 16, 1950 in Harrison Township to the late Michael J. and Nellie D. (Petrosky) Husarik, Sr. Michael grew up and had close connections to many in Russellton, graduating from West Deer High School in 1968, then graduating from Penn State in 1972 with a degree in engineering. Mike went to work for Penn Dot as an engineer working for them for over 35 years. After Mike retired from Penn Dot, he continued a busy life of work and charity, serving as a Trustee for the Ira Wood Foundation as well as being in charge of the Tour-Ed Mine and Museum, where he will be missed by the workers and the many visitors. Mike enjoyed the simple things in life; work, family, and watching the Penguins and Steelers. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Jessica R. (Girdwood) Husarik his three daughters for whom he exuded great pride; Shannon (Jason) Paulovich of Harrison Township, Heather (Ron) Harapko of Lower Burrell, and Chelsey (Tony) Fajbik of Buffalo Township; as well as 6 grandchildren that always brightened his day; Jake, Luke, Ryan, Nathan, Kendall, and Teagan, and his sisters; Sandra Padgett of Tenn. and Donna (Skip) Shook of Fla.
Family will receive friends Saturday January 20, 2018 from 6-8 PM and Sunday January 21, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be held Monday January 21, 2018 at 10 AM, with the Rev.
