Mike Bajack, 84, of Frazer Township, died Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Frazer Township to the late Paul and Mary (Chorvat) Bajack, where he lived all of his life. He was a 1952 graduate of East Deer-Frazer High School. Mike was a member of the former St. John's Lutheran Church, Brackenridge, and John Huss Lutheran Church, New Kensington, where he was an active member of his church. Mike worked for over 27 years at Montgomery Ward, Lower Burrell, as a department manager. When the store closed, he worked as a code enforcement officer for Tarentum, Springdale and East Deer Township. A member of Springdale Sportsman Club, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling to the camp in Potter County and casino trips, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Shirley (Myers) Bajack; his children, Timothy M. (Debra) Bajack, of Frazer Township, Thomas E. (Jeanine) Bajack, of Apollo, Tammy L. (Jeffrey) Simon, of West Deer, Theodore P. (Jackie) Bajack, of Frazer Township, and Tracy I. (Dirk) Scherba, of Lower Burrell; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, John, Joseph, Stanley and Emil Bajack; and his sisters, Ann Fink, Mary Madifisch, Helen Bajack, Susan Pecanis, and two infant sisters, Olga and Mildred Bajack.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday, with the funeral service following in John Huss Lutheran Church, Arnold, with the Rev.
