Raymond L. Luntz, Sr., 80 of West Deer Township, died May 16, 2017, with his family by his side. Ray has lived in West Deer for the past 51 years. He was born April 5, 1937 in Pittsburgh to the late Carl and Clunon Luntz. Ray served his country as an Army Ranger in Korea following the war. After discharge he worked for 20 years for the U.S. Steel Works in Homestead as a Pump House Operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing tending to his yard and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marjorie “Marge” A. (Pijanowski) Luntz, his son Raymond L. Luntz, Jr. of Georgetown, daughters Lynn M. (David) Hoak and Carolyn M. Luntz both of West Deer, his grandson Brandon Bresuciak, sisters Marion Sauer of Richland, Bernadette Schlereth of North Braddock and Carla (William) Rankin of Adam’s Township and his brother Lawrence (Barbara) Luntz of Cranberry Township.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister LaVonne Tachoir and his brother Joseph Luntz.
Family will receive Thursday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. The family asks all to meet for his funeral service 11 am, Friday in Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett Street, Valencia, PA 16059. Burial will follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland.
