Rosemary Heininger

November 12, 1941 ~ July 17, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old


Rosemary (Potersnak) Heininger, 75 of West Deer Township, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on July 17, 2017. She was born November 12, 1941 in East McKeesport to the late Victor J. and Anna (Lehocky) Potersnak, Sr. Rosemary grew up in East McKeesport graduating in 1959 from East McKeesport High School; she then attended and graduated from Robert Morris College. While in college she served as the president of the Alpha Iota Honorary Sorority and the Alumnae Chapter. A member of St. Victor R.C. Parish, she was an active member of the church where she had served in various positions, including the church council, as a Lay Minister, CCD Aid and substitute teacher and a member of the Young and Restless Group. Rosemary worked for Parker Hunter, Inc. as an Accountant for over 15 years before she retired. She was also a past member of the American Society of Woman Accountants in Holland Michigan and Pittsburgh. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.

 

Survivors include her husband of 51 years Robert R. Heininger, Sr., her children Robert R. Heininger, Jr. of Royersford and her daughter Caroline C. (Richard) Hollibaugh of West Deer, grandchildren Matthew Heininger, Bradley Heininger, Lehman Kretz and CarlieAnna Kretz, step-grandchildren Rebecca Hollibaugh, Julia Hollibaugh and Jack Hollibaugh and her sister Caroline Potersnak of East McKeesport.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Victor Potersnak, Jr.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer where parting prayers will be conducted on Friday 9:30 AM, funeral mass will follow at 10 AM in St. Victor Parish with the Rev. Charles Speicher, officiating. She will be privately laid to rest near her parents in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
