Violet Mialky

Violet (Grebek) Mialky, 95 of West Deer Township, died Saturday November 25, 2017. She was born December 10, 1921 in Russellton to the late Joseph and Sophie (Westosik) Grebek. Violet grew up in Russellton and has lived in West Deer most of her life. She was a member of Transfiguration R.C. Church, Russellton. Violet was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, sewing and playing bingo. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and talking to her sisters on the phone.

Survivors include her sons Edward M. Mialky of Bradford and Ronald J. (Gloria) Mialky of West Deer, grandchildren Kevin (Emily) Mialky, Eric (Kelly) Mialky, Erin (David) Watson and Angela (Chris) Thurman, her great-grandchildren Ivan, Samara, Ben, Sam, Anna, Clare, Emma and Jack and her sisters Connie Valerio of Russellton and Mary Lou Safranski of Natrona Heights.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward M. Mialky in 2007, her brother John Grzybek and her sisters Stella Valarik, Frances Proco and Josephine Lasko.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 11 AM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer where services will be conducted 11 AM with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating.
