Martha Hood

Martha Hood, 75, of Russellton, West Deer, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Bairdford, to the late Alex and Mary (Pakosh) Shelestak. She worked as a bartender at Rose Ridge Golf Course for more than 30 years. A member of the Owl's Club in Russellton, Martha enjoyed spending time with her friends at Mike's New Moon Saloon and especially spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Geri (Dan) Ogershok, of Russellton, and Roni (Don) Lawther-Raynes, of Coulters; her grandchildren, Shellie Bossart, Ricky (Belinda) Bossart and Gerad Ogershok; and her brother, Alex (Shirley) Shelestak, of Dorseyville, Indiana Township.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers, Nick, John, Steve, Joseph and Michael; and five sisters, Anna, Nancy, Helen, Mary and Alice.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday.
