Carol D. Mazurek

Carol D. (Callen) Mazurek, 73 of Russellton, West Deer Township, died Tuesday January 16, 2018. She was born December 1, 1944 in Harrison Township to the late Clarence L. and Violet I. (Schreckengost) Callen. Carol has lived in the Fawn and West Deer Township areas for most of her life. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1962. Carol was a Sr. Accounts Payable Clerk for the Former Thrift Drug Company, RIDC Park. A member of Bull Creek United Presbyterian Church, West Deer. She loved getting her hair and nails done, listening to music, playing bingo, the Pittsburgh Steelers and vacationing at Deep Creek MD with her sister, though especially she loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons Wayne (Jennifer) Radtke of Phoenix, AZ and William C. (Nichole) Mazurek of Middlesex Township, grandchildren Cory and Michael Radtke, Michael Brown, Samantha, Alyson and Ian Mazurek, great-grandchildren Jasmine, Mason and Alexy, brothers Clarence Callen, Jr of Mesa, AZ, Carl and Craig Callen both of Natrona Heights, sisters Catherine (William) McKrell of Fawn and Cheryl Zenewicz of Blanchard and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank the nursing staff and medical staff of Saxony Health Center, for the excellent care they gave to Carol while she was a patient.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband Wayne Radtke, her 2nd husband William W. Mazurek, an infant grandson Liam Mazurek, his brother Clair “Biff” Callen and his sister-in-law Barbara Callen.

Family will receive friends Friday January 19 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be held Saturday January 20, 2018 at 12 Noon, with the Rev. Dr. David R. Brewer, officiating. She will be privately buried next to her husband William Mazurek in Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, West Deer.
