Donna L. Bartchy

Donna L. Bartchy, 68 of West Memphis, AR, formerly of West Deer Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 26, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband Richard, whom she married August 16, 1969. They raised three children; Greg (Nicole) Bartchy, Pam (Joe) Kushner, and Robbie Bartchy (Lisa Tidwell). She is also survived by three sisters: Linda (John) Cieszynski, Lois (Vince) Oberski and Janet (Scott) Sukoskey. She was an amazing grandmother and was very proud of her 5 grandchildren, Jake, Hope, Danyelle, Carson, Joy and Bella. She has several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norbie and Leona Olzak and two granddaughters, Carlee and Allison.

Her unwavering belief in God led her to many ministries in the West Memphis community. She was an active leader in the Community Bible Study in West Memphis for many years. Donna was President of the Gideon’s Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting and was part of the local knitting ministry. She was a member of The Friend’s for the 8th Street Mission of Jesus Christ. Donna worked as a hair dresser for most of her life. She retired from Broadway Nursing Home in 2015. This was a ministry for her as well; she has such a heart for the elderly and loved sharing her love of Christ with them.

Donna loved flowers and digging in the dirt of her beautiful perennial gardens. She loved watching birds and was always up for a walk to enjoy the outdoors. Her love for her family and friends was always apparent in everything she did. She was a bright spot in all of our lives and she will stay in our hearts forever.

The family met for a private graveside service on Saturday May 5, 2018 in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
