Jean M. (Halt) Jaloski, 90 of Doylestown, PA, formerly of West Deer Township, passed away on March 28, 2018 in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown. She was born March 13, 1928 in McKeesport, PA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Halt. Jean graduated from Allderdice High School and then went on to Indiana University of PA to obtain her teaching degree. There she met her future husband Jack who recently returned from the European Theatre after WWII. Most of Jean’s teaching career was spent as an elementary school teacher for the West Deer School District, West Deer. Later she received her Masters of Library Science at the University of Pittsburgh and became the librarian for the elementary schools in the township. After the passing of her husband Jack, twenty years ago, Jean moved to the Doylestown area and has been a resident of the Pine Run Retirement Community, Doylestown for the past eighteen years. Jean was a breast cancer survivor. Jean’s retirement years were highlighted with overseas travel with friends and family and especially spending time visiting her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons John and his wife Jumiati near Doylestown and Jeff and his wife Lindsay in Connecticut, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Jaloski, her brothers Charles and George Halt and her sister Margaret Kennedy.
