John M. Dennis

John M. Dennis, 74 of Shaler Township, formerly of West Deer, died October 10, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice-Cabot with his family by his side. He was born March 11, 1944 in Sharpsburg to the late Frank “Chickie” and Anna Mae (Coll) Dennis, where he grew up. John lived in West Deer Township most of his life though has lived in Shaler Township for the past 28 years. John worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for both WW Williams, Co and Shaull Equipment for many years. Recently he worked rebuilding hydraulic pumps for Sealing Specialist & Service, Co, Pittsburgh. John enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, wood working, riding his Harley, going to car shows, NASCAR, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children John M. (Marie Elaina) Dennis, Jr. of West Deer, Lori L. (David) Cetti of West Deer and Lisa M. (Rob) Guerrieri of West Deer, grandchildren Zach (Michelle) Guerrieri, Taylor Cetti, Cole Guerrieri, Karlie Cetti, Matthew Dennis and Mary Kate Dennis; great-grandchildren Isaac and Ava Guerrieri and Hailey Cetti; his brother Wayne (Marie) Dennis of Shaler and his sister-in-law Carol Dennis of Fla.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie L. (Zillweger) Dennis on January 1, 2018 and his brother James Dennis.

Following John’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. However, family and friends are invited to a celebration of John’s life on Friday, October 12 from 4PM to 9PM at the West Deer VFD #1, 1520 Saxonburg Boulevard, in Culmerville.
