John M. Fyala, 88 of Russellton, West Deer Township, died Wednesday June 13, 2018. He was born in Russellton November 16, 1929 to the late Stephen and Anna (Hovanec) Fyala. John has lived in Russellton his entire life and graduated from West Deer High School in 1947. He was a machine operator for Potlatch Forest, Inc. Blawnox where he worked for over 20 years. John enjoyed yard work, gardening, fishing and outdoor sports.
Survivors include his sons John J. Fyala and his fiancé Jamie Palsgrove of New Kensington and David J. (Sue) Fyala of Lower Burrell, his granddaughter Michele L. (Robert) Groff and his great-grandchildren Mason Dixon, Madison Balog and Morgyn Balog.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lillian L. (Scopel) Fyala, his brothers Steve J, Theodore and Andrew W. Fyala, his sisters Anna Kuczek and Mary Godlewski.
Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday 10 AM, with the Rev. officiating.
