John D. Pittman, 89 of Curtisville, West Deer Township, died peaceful on Wednesday July 18, 2018. He was born June 16, 1929 in Sarver to the late James and Eleanor (Simon) Pittman. He was a 1947 graduate of Mars High School. He worked as a State Health Inspector for the State of PA Department of Health, inspecting various hospitals throughout the Pittsburgh Area for over 20 years. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union and was of Presbyterian faith. He enjoyed dancing, playing his accordion, reading, gardening, planning cards, fishing, hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughter Teryl D. (Steve) Antoinette of Cannonsburg, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his his wife September 26, 2017, his daughter Mona Jean Pittman September 28, 2016 and his brother Stanley Pittman.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service at 11 am with the Rev. Ozzie Kenyon, officiating, in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp.
