Joyce L.(Pisarcik) Bonovitz, 69 of Richland Township, formerly of West Deer Township and Rural Ridge, died peacefully on Friday December 7, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, with her daughters by her side. Born July 6, 1949, daughter of the late Frank J. and Rose C. (Maschak) Pisarcik, she was a 1967 Graduate of Fox Chapel Area High School. Joyce was employed at the West Deer Variety Store and the Comfort Inn Harmarville, until retirement in 2002. After spending most of her life in the Rural Ridge/Russellton area, she then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to enjoy the warmth with her daughter Melissa. Due to health reasons, Joyce moved back to PA in 2011. She grew up a member of the Transfiguration Church and is a life member of the Rural Ridge Volunteer Fire Department. An avid Nascar, Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers fan, she also loved gambling, playing Bunko and Bingo, and socializing at Palmer Drug Store in Russellton. She cherished her grand dogs, Joey and Munchie.
Survivors include daughters Melissa “Missy” Bonovitz and Crissy Bonovitz both of Richland Township, son James (Sandi) Zembrowski and grandson MJ, of Verona, sister Arlene (James) Elwood of Indiana Township, brother Richard Pisarcik of Vacaville, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her late parents, Frank and Rose Pisarcik, she was preceded in death by sisters Judy and Gloria Pisarcik.
Friends received Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. where a blessing service will be conducted on Wednesday 10 am the Rev. Thomas Wilson, officiating. She will be privately laid to rest, with her family, in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
