William M. WoscekOctober 27, 1933 ~ November 1, 2017 (age 84)
William M. Woscek, 84, of West Deer Township, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord, Wednesday November 1, 2017. He was born October 27, 1933 in Bairdford, West Deer to the late Michael P. and Mary S. (Pisarick) Woseck where he has lived all of his life. Bill graduated from West Deer High School in 1951. He served his country during the Korean War in the Air Force achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. While in the service Bill worked as a helicopter mechanic. After the war, Bill returned to West Deer and began his long time work career as a union brick layer, and was known as one of the best. He was a member of St. Victor Parish, Bairdford, the West Deer American Legion, Knight of Columbus, West Deer, Life member of the Owl’s Club, Russellton, the International Union of Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers Union and the Slovak Catholic Social Club. Bill enjoyed gardening especially planting garlic and potatoes.
Survivors include his four children, his three grandchildren, his sister and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by his wife Irene E. (Svezeny) Woscek in July of this year.
A private family Funeral mass was conducted at St. Victors R.C. Church in Bairdford, with the Rev. Charles Speicher, officiating. There was a small family gathering following the service.
