Alexander R. Spondike, 68 of Russellton, West Deer Township, died Wednesday March 24, 2021 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville with his family nearby. He was born November 15, 1952 in New Kensington to the late Alexander and Louise (Lorrie) Spondike. Alex has lived in Russellton all of his life. He was a 1972 graduate of Deer Lakes High School. Alex worked for American Beverage Corporation, formerly Dailey’s Juice Company in Verona for many years. Growing up he was a member of the former Transfiguration R. C. Church, now, Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, in Russellton. He enjoyed music, and watching sports, especially football including both college and professional teams.
Survivors include his brother David A. Spondike, of Russellton, his nephew David A. Spondike, Jr. of Russellton, his niece Carrie M. (Robby) Roth of West Deer, great-nephews Isaiah and Robert “Chubs” and his great-niece Aubrey.
At Alex’s request all viewing and services were private. He was privately laid to rest near his parents in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
