Anastasia (Dalkalitsis) Caplanes, 77, of Allegheny Twp., PA passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. A daughter of the late Constantine and Chrysanthi (Tripsi) Dalkalitsis, Anastasia was born on May 22, 1944 in Agras Edessa, Greece. Anastasia emigrated to Pittsburgh in 1970 and married Gust Caplanes on September 4, 1977 at Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in New Kensington. Anastasia was an engaging retail sales manager, volunteer at the Benedum Center and a member of Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. Anastasia enjoyed sharing her passion for the arts, culture and cooking with friends and family.
Survivors include her sister, Maria (Dmitri)Tanis, nieces Caliope, Chrysanthi, Evangelitsa and extended family in Greece; niece Eva, nephews Dean and Trifon, cousin Naki, goddaughter Xanthia and extended family in the United States.
Anastasia is preceded in death by Gust - her beloved husband of 40 years, her parents and older brothers Trifon and George.
At Anastasia’s request all services will be private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Greenwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. Arrangements are entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp.
