Anne Y. (Yellig) Lower

Anne Y. Lower, 83 of Curtisville, West Deer Township, passed peacefully, Wednesday October 11, 2023 with her devoted daughter Susan and her family by her side. She was born July 21, 1940 in Tulsa, OK to the late Edward “Bub” and Jane (Booth) Yellig. She attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA. She also attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Anne lived her life between Pittsburgh, PA, Nantucket Island, MA and spending summers in her great grandmother's cottage in Point Chautauqua, NY.

She is survived by her children Susan (Chuch) Olar, with whom she made her home, David Lower of Nantucket, MA and Kathryn Lovey of Jamestown, NY. Grandchildren Caitlin (Mike) Newcomer of Erie, Bailey and Mayson Lower of Nantucket, MA, great-grandsons Jackson and Benny Newcomer of Erie, PA. Nieces and nephews Karen (Patrick) Gilchrist of Cranberry Township, PA, Sue (Johnny) Carenbauer of Oakmont, PA, John (Laura) Yellig of Atlanta, GA. Great nieces and nephews Matt and Nora Gilchrist, Jonah and Harper Carenbauer and Campbell Yellig. Her siblings Ned (Sylvia) Yellig of Raleigh, NC and Doodie (Mike) Lupfer of Aiken, SC. And her beloved cats Fred and Ethel.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew Christopher Yellig and many of her cherished friends.

At Anne’s request all viewing, services and burial will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township.
