Ashley A. (Kiel) Sarazen, 38, of Richland Township, died tragically on Friday August 4, 2023. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. Ashley was born December 27, 1984 in Pittsburgh to the late Donald H. Kiel and Deborah S. (George) Kiel. Ashley grew up in Morningside where she was a member of St. Raphael Church. She was a 2003 graduate of North Catholic High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Point Park University. For 13 years, Ashley worked with at-risk youth, advocating for a community that is highly vulnerable and often overlooked. She loved music, going to concerts, her movies, sitting by the fire, Halloween and loved animals, especially her dog Tink who passed last year. Most of all, Ashley loved being surrounded by her many friends and family.
Ashley will be lovingly remembered by her best friend and husband Shane A. Sarazen, her mother Deborah S. (George) Kiel of Pittsburgh, siblings Heather L. (Ryan) Teklinsky of McCandless, Shannon M. (Dominic) Distilo of West Deer, her nieces and nephews Mila and Salvatore Distilo and Max and Luke Teklinsky, parents-in-law Tony and Eva (Melvin) Sarazen of Pittsburgh, sister-in-law Tara (Steven) Longenbach of Los Angeles, CA and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Friends received Friday from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer where a blessing service will be conducted Saturday 10 am with the Rev.
