Barbara Jean Labounty

Barbara J. (Zawrontnaik) Labounty, 68 of Russellton, West Deer Township, died Thursday August 3, 2023 at UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh. She was born August 31, 1954 in New Kensington to the late Bruno and Pauline (Soliznoff) Zawrotnaik. Barb grew up in Russellton graduating from Deer Lakes High School in 1973. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. She worked for Super 8 and then Springhill Suites as a housekeeper and laundry worker for over 25 years. She also was a social member of the American Legion Post 594, Russellton. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, playing the lottery and her cat “Digger”.

Sruvivors include her daughter Rebecca A. (Dan) Laska of Natrona Heights, her granddaughters, Katelyn A. Laska, Alexandra M. Laska and Danielle E. Laska all of Natrona Heights.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norbert Labounty who passed 2-16-2012 and her brothers Bruno and Stanley Zawrotnaik.

At Barb’s request a private graveside service was held at Deer Creek Cemetery, where she was laid to rest next to her husband.
