Betty J. Tabacchi

Betty J. (Paskorz) Tabacchi, 85 of West Deer Township, died Monday April 17, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 8, 1937 in Dearborn, MI to the late Stephen and Jean (Mosser) Paskorz. Betty grew up and has lived in West Deer most of her life. She was a 1955 graduate of West Deer High School and worked for the West Deer and then Deer Lakes School District for over 25 years as a cafeteria worker, beginning at the Bairdford grade school and then working in the High School until she retired in 1999. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, playing cards, casino trips though loved her family the most.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years Theodore Tabacchi, her daughter Debora Jean (David) Algerie of McKeesport, sons Theodore T. (Yvonne) Tabacchi of Middlesex Twp, and Darryl S. (Denise) Tabacchi of Jefferson Twp., grandchildren Gary (Jen) Pervoich, Lori (Ryan) Hayes, Christopher Perovich, Noah Tabacchi, Krista Tabacchi and Sarah Tabacchi, great-grandson Bentley Hayes, and her sister Pamela McCorkle of New Kensington.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Stephen E. Paskorz and her sisters Elaine Lauermann and Audrey Cravner.

At Betty’s request private viewing and services were held. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer. She was laid to rest in Deer Creek Church Cemetery, West Deer Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the West Deer Dog Shelter, 109 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.
