Bonnie L. Rush

Bonnie L. (Owcar) Rush, 74 of West Deer Township, died Friday December 30, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh with her family by her side. She was born May 26, 1948 in Pittsburgh to the late John A. and Rose Marie (Sarso) Owcar. Bonnie grew up and has lived in West Deer most of her life. She was a 1966 graduate of West Deer High School. After graduating, she went to work at PPG working there as a secretary for about 5 years. She then went to work for Nationwide Insurance, Natrona Heights, working as the office manager and insured agent for over 32 years. Bonnie enjoyed cooking, Steeler Football, reminiscing about the old times, her children, and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Marcy L. (Keith) DeAngelis of Philadelphia and Michael J. Rush of West Deer, her grandchildren Dillon, Jonah and Julian Rush and Samuel and Lyla DeAngelis, and her brother Gary (Lindasue) Owcar of Clinton Township.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Rush 10-31, 2021 and her sister Jackie Dunphy.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp., and Thursday 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am with the Rev. Ozzie Kenyon, officiating. Burial will be private.
