Carol J. (Yokel) Pavlik, 79 of West Deer Township, died Friday December 11, 2020 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born August 19, 1941 in Pittsburgh to the late Frank and Helen (Elmeier) Yokel. Carol grew up on the North Side and graduated from St. Benedict’s High School in 1959. She has lived in West Deer since 1994. Carol was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Russellton, where she was a member of their Rosary Society and Ladies of Charity groups. She loved her bingo, gardening, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years Anthony J. Pavlik, Sr., her children Linda (Rich) Turkaly and Colleen (Scott) Hirsh both of Ross Township, Matthew Baumgartner of Evans City and Wendy (Ken) Athans of Aiea, HI, step children Anthony J. (Uda) Pavlik, Jr. of Harrison Township and Daniel J. (Lauren) Pavlik of West Deer; grandchildren, Dustin, Adam, Jamie, Jessie, Mason, Cory, Lindsey, Anthony, Kayla, Holly, Josh, and Ryan, great-grandchildren, David, Danny, JJ, John, Gary, Riley, Jaxxon, Julia, Brody, Kensley, Sloan, Maggie and Hadley, and her sister Maxine Wehner of Avalon.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Baumgartner.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday December 16th at 11 am in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Russellton. Following she will be laid to rest next to her first husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Reserve Township. The family does plan on scheduling an open Memorial Mass at a later date, once the COVID restrictions are lifted. The church will be following ALL CDC Guidelines and insist all people coming MUST wear a mask, social distance and only 25% capacity of the church will be allowed. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.
