Caroline Potersnak

Caroline Potersnak, 86 of East McKeesport, died Thursday August 17, 2023 at Assisted Living at Rosebrook, Sarver. She was born December 4, 1936 in East McKeesport to the late Victor J. and Anna (Lehocky) Potersnak. Caroline has lived in East McKeesport all of her life. She was a 1954 graduate of East McKeesport High School then attended Robert Morris College and the University of Pittsburgh getting her Accounting Degree. Caroline was a member of St. Robert of Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport (Mary Mother of God Parish), where she was a member of the finance committee. She also was instrumental in organizing the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants. She was a self-employed accountant, working for many businesses in the Pittsburgh area and the owner of a Sir Speedy franchise. Caroline was a member of the Pittsburgh East Knitting Guild and donated much of her time knitting items for Newborns in Need and helping with financial reports for the local chapter.

Survivors include her niece Caroline C. (Richard) Hollibaugh of West Deer Township and her nephew Robert R. Heininger of Phoenixville, PA, a great-niece and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary Heininger and her brother Victor J. Potersnak, Jr., and her great-nephew Lehman M. Kretz.

Family invites friends to a funeral Mass Tuesday at 10am in Mary Mother of God Parish, St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1313 Fifth Avenue, East McKeesport, PA 15035 with the Rev. Terrence O’Conner officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, East McKeesport.
