Carolyn M. Danko

Carolyn M. (Shorts) Danko, 85 of West Deer Township, died Tuesday July 3, 2023 at UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh. She was born September 14, 1937 in Pittsburgh to the late Carl F. and Dorothy M. (Moody) Shorts. Carol has lived in West Deer for the past 62 years. She worked as a school bus driver and dispatcher for the former Jamar, Mark Line and Laidlaw Bus Companies for over 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include her daughter Carol L. Christman of Monroeville and grandchildren Jennifer McLaughlin of Tarentum and James J. McLaughlin, Jr. of Apollo.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Danko and her brother Carl E. Shorts.

At the family’s request all services and burial were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp.
