Denny Lee Swigart

Denny Lee Swigart, 86, of West Deer Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2022, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence West Deer Twp. He was born March 12, 1936 in Kittanning to the late Homer Raymond and Geraldine Pearl Black Swigart. Denny lived most of his life in West Deer Twp. and was a retired Coal Miner/ Inspector for the International Coal Mine UMWA. A veteran of the Korean War War serving as Corporal in the US Marines Corp. He was a member of Walter Chapel Rural Ridge, the Owl’s club and American Legion. Denny enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid Steelers, Pirates and NASCAR fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends.   Survivors are his four sons; Denny L. (Maureen) Swigart of West Deer, David A. (Jacquelyn) Swigart of Frazer Twp., John S. (Kathy) Swigart of League City Texas and Thomas R. (Julie) Swigart of New Kensington. One sister Pollyann Osborn of Altoon, Iowa, also many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Swigart, two brothers James and Larry “Lud” Swigart and sister Jackie Mattone

Family will receive friends Wednesday April 27, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. where Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 10 am by the Rev. Gene Hill officiating.
