Diana L. Spath

Diana L. (Pennington) Spath, 64 of West Deer Township, died Tuesday December 28, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 13, 1957 in Harrison Township to the late James M. Pennington and June J. (Stezenfand) Pelles. Diana grew up in Richland and graduated from Richland high School in 1976. She worked as a prep cook at Kings Family Restaurant, Richland for over 13 years. Diana was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown and was a life member of West Deer VFC#3. She enjoyed camping, bingo, though loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years Kevin H. Spath, her daughters Christie L. (Daniel) Weber and Lisa M. (David) Eversole both of West Deer, grandchildren Gabrielle, D.J., Alyssa, Brandon and Laurel and her sisters Vada Boland of Mars and Mary Twyman of Pittsburgh.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers James R. Pennington and H. Martin Pennington.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 & 6-7:50 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. West Deer VFC#3 will conduct the Fireman’s Final Call Ceremony at 7:50 PM. A private family service with the Rev. Terry Stoops, officiating will be held. She will be privately buried in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to West Deer VFC#3, 4372 Gibsonia Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
