Diane J. “Dini” (Golovich) Ivanic, 78 of West Deer Township, died Monday October 16, 2023 at UPMC Passavant, McCandless with her family by her side. She was born December 28, 1944 in Pittsburgh to the late Frank A. and Dolores M. (Kirin) Golovich. Diane grew up in Shaler graduating from Shaler High School in 1962. She then attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy graduating and working as a hairdresser for several years. She then went to work for the former Bell Telephone and then North Pittsburgh Telephone Company. He favorite title was Mom, MiMi, Grammy, great-grandma, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed painting with both water color and oil paints, doing crafts, making jewelry and playing the piano, organ, accordion and most any keyboard instrument, though she loved being the homemaker caring for her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Stephen Ivanic, her children Dawna M. (Carl) Palazzi of New Kensington, Michelle L. (Jay) Strohecker of Columbiana, OH and Richard (Elizabeth) Ivanic of Saegertown, grandchildren Nicholas Penman, Aubrin Strohecker, Zachery Strohecker, Ian Strohecker, Devin (Cadi) Hoffman, Olivia Hoffman and Lukas Ivanic, great-grandchildren Maisie and Kennedy, her brother Richard (Stephanie) Golovich of St. Lauderdale, FL.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son Stephen G. “Glenny” Ivanic in 1971.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be conducted Friday 10 AM with the Pastor Tim Golden officiating.
