Dolores M. (Bracco) DeVita

Dolores M. “Dolly” (Bracco) DeVita, 77 of West Deer Township, died August 24, 2023 at Concordia Lutheran Care Home, Cabot. She was born March 18, 1946 in North Bessemer to the late Creighton L. and Helen J. (Wilson) Bracco. Dolly grew up in North Bessemer graduating from Penn Hills High School in 1965. She worked over 20 years for Deer Lakes School District as a custodian. Dolly was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. She enjoyed Sunday dinners and any opportunity to be with her family, and spending time with her sister-in-law and best friend Pauline (Cesaretti) DeVita.

She was the devoted mother of James L. (Patricia) DeVita of Indiana Township and her daughter-in-law Carrie L. (Altfather) DeVita of West Deer, loving grandmother to Darian N. DeVita, Dominic C. DeVita and Gabrielle DeVita, brother-in-law Wayne Richey of Richland, WA.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Louis “Nick” DeVita, November 14, 2010, her son Nicholas “Nick” L. DeVita March 26, 2013, and her sister Nancy Lee Richey.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where a blessing service will be conducted Monday at 10 am, with the Rev. Fredrick Cain, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
