Edmund Joseph Macerelli

Edmund J. Macerelli, 70 of Butler Township, formerly of West Deer Township, died Monday July 21, 2025 at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove, Harrisville. Ed was born February 11, 1955 in Natrona Heights to the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Raffaelli) Macerelli. He was a 1974 graduate of Deer Lakes High School. While Ed was in high school he excelled in playing defense for the newly formed high school soccer team. He worked over 35 years for the US Post Office. Ed served his country in the US Army achieving the rank of Captain. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 117, Butler where he played in the TAP Pool League. Ed enjoyed playing pool, riding his motorcycle, operating remote control airplanes and traveling.

Survivors include his children Anthony E. Macerelli, Tia I. Macerelli and Geno E. Macerelli all of West Deer, his brother David (Patricia) Macerelli of Norfolk, VA, and his companion of 8 years Brenda Claypoole, with whom he lived.

Family will receive friends Friday from 5-7:30 pm the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 with Dean Noechel, Chaplin of the American Legion. He will be privately laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
