Elizabeth A. (Horwatt) Rider

Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Horwatt) Rider, 92 of West Deer Twp., died April 12, 2026 at Hillcrest Rehabilitation and Health Center, Lower Burrell.  She was born August 2, 1933 in Greensburg to the late John and Josephine (Lublinsky) Horwatt. Betty grew up in Cheswick graduating from Springdale High School. She has lived in West Deer the majority of her life. Betty loved her music, especially polka and Doo-wop music, gardening being outside, playing whiffle ball with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and shopping.

Survivors her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Rider, Sr. and by her daughter Cathy.
