Ellen Jeffrey

Ellen (Knowles) Jeffrey, 84 of West Deer Township, formerly of Florida, died Saturday April 17, 2021 at the Oakmont Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Oakmont, with her daughter by her side. She was born December 19, 1936 in Lakeland Florida to the late Carl and Marie (Barnaby) Knowles. Ellen has lived in West Deer for the past 6 years. She worked as a Registered Nurse at various hospitals and nursing homes in Florida. She was of Catholic Faith. Ellen enjoyed golfing, gardening, fishing and going to the beach.

Survivors include her children Michael Barnes of Knoxville, TN, Dana M. (William) Guerre of West Deer and Jonathan Rockhill of Alabama, grandchildren Bruce, Michelle, Michael and Victoria, and her sister-in-law, Helen Knowles, Seminole, Fla.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Tamara Morton, her granddaughter Kimberly Morton and her siblings Edward and Donald Knowles, Patricia Humphries, Betty McMannus and Margaret Humane.

Following Ellen’s request all viewing and services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp.
