Ethel “Jean” (Pochiba) Prignon Horak, 88, of West Deer Township, passed away peacefully at home July 1, 2026 with her loving family by her side. She was born August 28,1937 in West Leechburg to the late late Joseph & Mary (Murchak) Pochiba. A devoted homemaker who found joy in cooking and baking, especially known for which many considered the very best stuffed cabbages. An avid NASCAR and STEELER fan. She found joy watching and caring for her hummingbirds and rarely missed a Sunday with family cheering on her favorites. She will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her generous heart and special affinity for angels. Jean was proceeded in death by spouses Louis “Buzzy” Prignon (1967) Edward Horak (1988) Siblings: Rose, Louis, Joseph, JoAnn, John and Sylvester. She is survived by her children Louie (Mary Ann) Prignon of Natrona Heights and Linda (John) Reekie of Curtisville. Grandchildren Lou (Donis) Prignon, Gayle (Jason) Mclaughlin, Brandon (Michelle) Reekie, Michelle (Matt) Nelson. Great–grandchildren, Gabriella, Autum, Marissa, Sebastian and Gavin. Also Survived by her Sister Mary Louise Waluk, Sister in Laws Margie Pochiba, Yvonne (John) Thickey, many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Hammy.
Friends received Monday from 2-4 pm and 6–8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10am with the Rev. Fred Cain, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Louis, in Mount Airy Cemetery, Harrison Twp.
