Frances Marie (Proco) Harkcom

Frances Marie (Proco) Harkcom, 84 of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of West Deer Township, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, went home to be with Jesus on Oct. 31, 2025, at her home, with her loving family by her side. Born on Nov. 13, 1940, in Pittsburgh to the late George and Frances M. (Grzybeck) Proco. Frances grew up in West Deer graduating from West Deer High School in 1958. Frances lived a life filled with love, faith, and grace that touched the hearts of everyone she met. She shared a beautiful marriage with her devoted husband, Richard Harkcom, and was a loving mother to her sons, Michael Harkcom and Ross Harkcom. Frances was also a cherished sister to late Robert Proco, the late Martha Madar and Anna Mae Proco of West Deer, with whom she shared countless memories and a lifelong bond of love. Frances's faith was the foundation of her life. She was a woman of deep devotion who lived each day with kindness, humility, and gratitude. Her gentle heart and steadfast love reflected the peace she found in her relationship with Jesus Christ. She brought light and warmth wherever she went, reminding those around her of the beauty in simple acts of care and compassion. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain and rests in eternal peace and joy with her Savior. Fran found satisfaction in working in the catering and food industry, working as a manager for a catering company as well as working in the local schools, as the cafeteria manager. She also worked in several grocery stores in their deli departments. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and example will forever guide those she leaves behind. Frances will be lovingly remembered for her faith, her warmth, and her unwavering love for her family. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Fran loved her computers, since the 1990’s when she got her first one to today, you could find her enjoying the time she spent on them.  

At France’s request a private graveside service was held. She was laid to rest with her parents in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. Local arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton West Deer Township.
