Gary Tano Obituary

Gary D. Tano, 65, of Dunedin, Florida formerly from West Deer Township, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot with his family by his side. He was born in Natrona Heights on April 21,1957, to the late Robert R. Tano and Marie “Joyce” (Morgan) Tano, and was a resident of the local area until 2019 when he moved to Duniden, Florida. Gary was a 1975 graduate of Deer Lakes High School and received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career as an engineer at Westinghouse and Robicon and eventually led a very successful career as a territory representative with Honeywell and Teco-Westinghouse. Golfing was his favorite pastime as well as all Pittsburgh sporting events, spending time with family and friends, playing with his grandson, listening to music and enjoying his retirement in Florida.

Gary was the beloved husband of Jennifer L. (Elder) Tano for 21 years; father to two loving daughters, Rachel M. (Matthew) Denney, and Maranda N. Tano; grandfather to Calvin Robert Denney; brother to Leslie "Cookie" (Christopher) Cashell, Kathy (Donald) Nwranski, Robert (Sue) Tano, and William Rosenblatt; and a fun-loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Karen Rosenblatt.

Family invites friends to a celebration of Gary’s life on Sunday November 27, 2022 from 3-6 PM at the VFW Post 7376, 572 W Main St, Saxonburg, PA 16056.
