Gerald S. Lavelle, Sr. of West Deer Township, died Saturday January 4, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born November 14, 1962 in Camp Pendleton, CA to the late Gerald A. Lavelle and Norma A. (Linnert) Wilcox. Jerry was self-employed as a small engine repairman for many years. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church, New Castle. Jerry loved working on cars, loved music and played the drums, loved his family, but making memories with his grandchildren was his favorite.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years Barbara M. (Struss) Lavelle, his children Gerald S. “JJ” (Noelle) Lavelle, Jr. of Portersville and Chelsea (David) Fish of Saxonburg, grandchildren Olivia, Heidi, Dax, Josh, Ethan, Ashton, Connor and soon to be Colter, his siblings Jackie (Chris) Schohn of NC, Donna Leach-Stark of Carrick, Raymond Leach of Carrick, Carrie Charles of NC and Wayne Wilcox of West Mifflin and many nieces and nephews.
At Jerry’s request all viewing, services and burial were private. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be Saturday January 11, 2025 1pm, at Cornerstone Community Church, 910 Croton Avenue, New Castle, PA 16101. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.
