Hans T. Duncan, Sr., 84 of West Deer Township, died Friday March 3, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 20, 1938 in Tarentum to the late Charles A. and Alice R. (Wylie) Duncan. Hans grew up in Tarentum. He served his country during the Cuban Crisis in the US Army. Returning from the service he worked, helping his brother at Chucks Auto in Frazer Township, and as a mill rite for Casey Equipment for over 20 years. Hans enjoyed farming, hunting, car repair, rebuilding anything, spending time with Tom Pometo and especially loved his family and his dog Timber. The family wishes to thank Karen Pometo for all her help during these difficult times.
Survivors include his children Hans T. (Marie Seaburn) Duncan, Jr. of Dubois, John A. (Robin) Duncan of Clarion and Diane K. Duncan at home, grandchildren Cassie Seaburn, Erin Seaburn, Josh Duncan and Jeremy Duncan, his siblings Agnis (Sam) Oprisko of Ambridge and Richard (Elaine) Duncan of New Kensington and his longtime companion Minnie Peck of Fawn Township.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Mae (Fritch) Duncan September 24, 1988, his brothers Charles and Ronald Duncan and his sister Margie Shondeck.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8 pm in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. He will be privately laid to rest with his wife in Bull Creek Cemetery, West Deer.
