Heather L. (Rupert) Burek, 51 of West Deer Township, formerly of Lower Burrell, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 17, 2025 in her home. She was born August 6, 1973 in Pittsburgh to the late Jerry and Sandy (Arthur) Rupert and has resided in West Deer the past 16 years. Heather was a 1991 graduate of Burrell High School. She was a Legal Specialist for Jones Day Law Firm for 11 years.
Heather was an outstanding, and supportive wife to her husband, Mark Burek, she was dedicated to their relationship and loved building their family together.
Heather was a selfless person always putting her son, husband, and family’s needs ahead of her own.
In the workplace, Heather will be remembered as a wonderful employee, coworker, and friend who was dependable, dedicated, and a confidant whom most anyone could turn to for a friendly face or smile.
Heather’s friends were a significant part of her life, and she cherished each friendship in their own unique way. Heather brought a bright light to every conversation and had a way of making people feel at ease and comfortable and also making people giggle with her sense of humor.
Besides family and friends, Heathers dogs were her heart and she loved them very much. Not only did she love her own dogs (Mushy & Daisy) she enjoyed helping other dogs in need.
But most of all, Heather will be remembered most for being fiercely loyal to her family and was exceptionally devoted to her son, Brayden.
Brayden was her world and Heather loved supporting him in all of his extracurricular sporting activities on and off the playing field and spending time with him any chance she could.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Mark D. Burek Jr. son Brayden Burek, step-daughter Kayda Burek, grandson Devan Burek, two sisters Dana Rupert of North Carolina and Rochelle Penn of Natrona Heights, step-mother Mary Ann Rupert of Lower Burrell, two nieces Nicole (Brandon) Geibel and their son Grayson of Butler, Melissa (Ryan) Davis of Arizona, Sister-in-law Lisa Burek and her son Da’Vonte Burek of Lower Burrell.
Family will receive friends Tuesday July 22, from 2-4pm & 6-8 pm the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where services will be held Wednesday July 23 at 10:30 am by Pastor Vince Arnone, pastor of Forged in Faith Church, Russellton, officiating.
