Helen A. (Pompe) Yaworski

Helen A. (Pompe) Yaworski, 84 of Russellton, West Deer Township died October 24, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born February 13, 1939 in Russellton to the late Jacob “Blaz” and H. Agnes (Primozic) Pompe. Helen grew up in Russellton graduating from West Deer High School in 1957. She then went on to IUP graduating in 1960. Helen began teaching in the West Deer School District in the elementary school. Helen continued teaching in both the West Deer and Deer Lakes School District working for over 30 years.  Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer, the teachers card club, the teachers traveling club. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and loved spending time with her husband, son, granddaughters and great-grand daughter.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years Edward Yaworski, her son Daniel (Leigh) Yaworski of Richland, grandchildren Abigail and Emma Yaworski and her great-granddaughter Liliana Yaworski, siblings Raymond (Patricia) Pompe of Greentree and Rose (Richard) Wadding Houston, TX.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Jacob, Frank, R. Gilbert Pompe and Josephine Pompe

Friends will be received Friday 10 AM until the time of the blessing service at 12 Noon in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating. She will be privately Laid to rest in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
