Henry “Mokey” Moretti, 84 of West Deer Township, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2022. He was born October 29, 1938 in Russellton, West Deer Township where he has lived most of his life. Henry was an avid hunter and fisherman, and truly loved all things nature. Henry served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was a true patriot his entire life. He worked for more than 30 years as a structural ironworker with Local Union # 3, Pittsburgh.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 54 years, Mary Ann; a daughter Helen (George) Spalaris; a son, Mark (Elaine) Moretti; a daughter-in-law, Shannon (Paul) Wiser; a granddaughter, Ella Moretti; his sister, Janet Micale; and many nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Anna (Hribar) and Ercole Moretti; brothers Felix (Sonny) Moretti, Ronald (Jackson) Moretti, William (Cudley) Moretti; sisters, Mary Ann (Nina) Chearno, Henrietta Himelinski, and Dorothy (Dee-Dee) Savka; Infant siblings Henry and Mary Ann Moretti; a son, Henry Cole Moretti; and a granddaughter, Emily Ann Moretti.
The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Henry on the final days of his journey. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21st from 4-7 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. Parting prayers will be conducted Thursday, December 22 at 10:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Martha & Mary Parish/St. Richards Church in Richland.
