Hugh W. Riscoe, Jr.

Hugh W. Riscoe, Jr., 67 of West Deer Township, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born September 19, 1958 in Pittsburgh to Carol J. (Lytle) Riscoe and the late Hugh W. Riscoe, Sr. Hugh grew up and has lived in West Deer all of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of Deer Lakes High School. Following high school, he attended Slippery Rock University. Hugh was a postal worker for the US Post Office Bulk Mail Center, Warrendale.

Hugh was a gifted baseball player in his younger years and remained a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan. He loved animals, especially his beloved companions Cody, Bailey, and most recently Casey. In his free time, he enjoyed going to Pirates and Penguins games, researching his family genealogy, spending time with his mother, and proudly cheering on his great nieces and nephews in their respective sports and activities.  

He is survived by his mother, Carol J (Lytle) Riscoe, and his sisters Debra L. (John) Mikel of Deland, FL. and Denise C. (Robert) Cassidy of West Deer, nieces and nephew Jessica (Raymond) Raible of Middlesex Township, Beth (Alex) Bulow of Richland, Jaclyn (Stephen) Cassidy Rohm of Ross, John (Holly) Mikel of Gardners, PA, Michele Mikel of Deland FL., and Mauren (Nelson) Martin of Debary, FL., great-nieces and nephews Emma, Marin, and Easton Raible, Cassidy and Nicholas Bulow, Joseph and Gary Mikel, and Everlee Powell. He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Casey.

Hugh will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

At Hugh’s request all viewing and services were private. He was buried next to his father in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.
