Irene P. Keegan

Irene P. (Chatary) Keegan, 94 of Beaver, formerly of Bairdford, West Deer Township and North Hills, died Friday November 27, 2020 at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. She was born April 27, 1926 in Bairdford to Frank and Pearl Chatary. Irene grew up in Bairdford graduating from West Deer High School in 1944. She went to work for William Penn Insurance Company, North Hills working for them as a secretary/receptionist for over 15 years. While she lived in North Hills, she attended the Ingomar United Methodist Church. Irene was a member of the RE Club in Sharpsburg where she enjoyed going dancing. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great grandson.

Survivors include her daughter; Leona P. (James) Ziegler of Ross Township, her son; Jonathan P. and his friend (Jill Atkins) Keegan of Beaver; grandchildren; Ian (Erin) Ziegler, Courtney (Michael) DeShantz, Lauren Keegan, Megan Ziegler, Kaitlin Keegan and Ivy Graham; great-grandchildren Alena Brisco, Mia DeShantz, Isla DeShantz and Mikey DeShantz and her great-great grandson Jay Jackson, her niece Diana (John) Blanarick.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Louis, Gabriel and Andrew Chatary, her sister Rose Livingston and her daughter-in-law Sally (Waltz) Keegan.

The family will receive friends, Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at 12 Noon in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Twp. Burial will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to made to your local animal shelter. ­
